CMI Proudly Participates in "The Memory Project"

About 3 months ago, we found out about an amazing program called The Memory Project, and we instantly knew we had to be a part of it.

The Memory Project brings awareness, friendships, and kindness from one culture to another through art. Molly, our Art Therapist, lead us in creating these beautiful portraits that would soon be delivered to a group of orphaned children in Pakistan. Our drawings and paintings, along with three thousand other artist’s, were joined in this effort to bring a smile to the faces of these children. Not only does this create a beautiful memory for the children, but for our team here at CMI as well.

CMI Member’s Art Exhibit is a great success!

Communicare Michigan’s members have been making some incredible art for months! On July 17th, 2019 we showcased much of this art work in our Rochester gallery. We also featured the reading of several personal essays written by a member who is also an author. Our artist members were able to tell their guests all about the meanings behind their creative choices and the detailed processes that were involved in creating such beautiful works of art. We had drawings, block prints, and screen prints in handmade frames, as well as portraits created in partnership with The Memory Project’s initiative on display. CMI members and staff partnered with The Memory Project to facilitate the artistic rendering of portraits of youth who had been orphaned due to war conflicts in Pakistan. We sent the originals to the youth and displayed copies for our exhibit. We are excited about our artistic exhibitions and are looking forward already to the next one at the end of October this year. Stay tuned for the announcement!

Communicare on Canvas launch party!

It was a wonderful night on March 21st, 2019.

Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate our newly renovated Rochester location. The wine tasting from the Rochester Wine Company & cheese from The Cheese Lady was sublime. And guests enjoyed mingling among many new faces as well as taking home some beautiful gifts made especially for them by the members and staff in our new art studio.
