Our team of highly-trained mental health therapists respect our members’ individuality and thoughtfully tailor treatment plans to address our members' specific needs and provide support throughout the journey of recovery. CMI Mental Health Therapists use a range of evidence based therapeutic approaches, including; Person Centered Approach Psychoeducation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (including trauma-focused CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and Motivational Interviewing, to inform treatment plan development and implementation.

By implementing a strengths-based psychoeducational approach, mental health therapy can effectively address needs commonly associated with traumatic brain injury including:

·Mood disturbances and disorders (including anxiety and depression)

·Adjustment issues

·Grief and loss

·Behavioral concerns (including impulse control problems)

·Traumatic experience induced issues (including Panic Disorder,  Post Traumatic

 Stress Disorder, and Agoraphobia)

·Deficits in Executive Functioning (poor memory, attention, concentration,

 decision making)

·Substance misuse and abuse problems

·Relationship and sexual issues

·Thought disturbances and disorders

·Education on the effects of brain injury and specific coping skills
