At Communicare Michigan, Art therapy is offered as an opportunity for our members to express the things that are difficult to put into words. Members gain valuable insights, develop new skills, and immerse themselves in personalized creative experiences that contribute to their overall well being, enjoyment and productivity.
Art Therapy at CMI is an evidence based cooperative blending of creative arts practices with psychotherapeutic approaches to rehabilitation and mental health. Creative expression occurs through exploring many fine art processes, including painting, printmaking, screen printing, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry making, creative writing, music, metalwork, woodworking, & crafts. These processes are explored in conjunction with a range of psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, and humanistic psychological approaches.
