Kristen Kelly-McCoy, Ph.D. – Program Director

Kristen Husted

Dr. Kelly-McCoy has worked in the field of mental health care since 1995. After earning her Bachelors degree in 1995, she worked for several years in the field of substance abuse rehabilitation. In 1998, she graduated with a Masters degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University where she worked in both a hospital setting and private practice. In 2009, she completed her Doctoral degree from Capella University in Psychology while continuing to work in the field of mental health. Dr. Kelly-McCoy is dedicated to enhancing the lives of her Clients by providing support and structure with the goal of independence and community re-integration.

Alexandra Gadzinski, MA, LLPC –Mental Health Therapist and Associate Clinical Supervisor

Alexandra earned a Bachelors of Arts in Communications in 2007 at Oakland University and worked as a Social Media Director for 5 years. In 2012 she decided to go back to Oakland to follow her true passion of helping others and earned her Master of Arts in both School and Community based counseling. She entered the company as a Counseling intern, transitioned into the role of t Cognitive Behavioral Site Manager at the Rochester Club House, and is now the Associate Clinical Supervisor and full-time Mental Health therapist. She uses a variety of Modalities with a specific focus on CBT, Solution Focused, and Motivational Interviewing, in her day to day roll to fulfill her goal of helping others reach their ultimate happiness and potential.

Mary Jo Armstrong, M.A. CCC-SLP – Speech and Language Pathologist

Mary Jo earned her Bachelor’s in English Secondary Education in 2007 from Grand Valley State University and worked as a high school teacher for nearly 2 years before pursuing and earning her Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology from Central Michigan University in 2012. She has worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including schools, pediatric clinic, hospital, and nursing home, receiving her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) in 2013.  Her unique professional background is utilized daily at Communicare to assist clients with a wide range of skills, whether it is pursuing higher education or supporting clients who intend to return back to the work force.  Mary Jo is passionate about providing the best care to her clients through maintaining knowledge of current research trends and best evidenced based practice methods.

  Entela Kaba, MA, LLPC- Mental Health Therapist

Entela is bilingual, speaking Albanian and English. She holds her Master Degree from  Oakland University in Counseling and Mental Health . She also completed an Advanced  Post Masters Specialization in Mental Health. She started working with Communicare as a Counseling  intern and then transitioned to the Mental Health Therapist. Entela utilizes a variety of counseling techniques that enhance the client’s therapy session to the needs of the specific client.


ranaRana Karcho MOT, OTR/L – Occupational Therapist

Rana  completed her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Her focus is on client-centered care with an emphasis on community re-integration. She creates an individualized care plan for each client to reach the goal of  maximal independence within home and community environments. Rana enjoys helping others work on improving daily living skills such as meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, pre-vocational skills and many other areas to improve quality of life. Her background in inpatient rehabilitation and acute care makes her a great asset to Communicare Michigan, LLC.

 Jamie Perayeff, MA, LLPC- Bloomfield Site Manager and Community Coordination Assistant

Jamie earned a Master of Arts in Community Mental Health Counseling from Oakland University in 2016.  She began her career with Communicare Michigan as a Mental Health Counseling Intern and later transitioned into the role of Bloomfield Site Manager and Community Coordination Assistant in 2017.  Jamie is passionate about helping others and positively influencing individuals lives.  She uses a variety of modalities with a specific focus on Client Centered, Psychoanalytic and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She strives to be a self-reflective practitioner and maintain knowledge that helps influence the client-therapist relationship in order to reach the long-range and immediate goals of the client.
